Yugoslavia was a country in Southeast Europe that existed from 1918 to 1992. It was initially formed after World War I as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes and later renamed the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1929. After World War II, it became a socialist federation known as the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. The country was made up of six republics: Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Macedonia, along with two autonomous provinces within Serbia: Vojvodina and Kosovo.
